The TWA Museum at 10 Richards Road:
You will take a bus from the Hilton MCI to the TWA Museum at Kansas City Downtown Airport, MKC. You will enjoy a 2 ½ hour guided tour of the museum facilities including access to the Museum’s Lockheed L-12A Electra aircraft. Exhibits include three cockpit familiarization trainers (707, L-1011, MD-80), a full-size cabin evacuation trainer, multiple classroom training tools and 100’s of models and artifacts. The tour fee includes bus transportation, and admission to the TWA museum.

The Amelia Earhart History tour:
You will travel via bus from the Hilton MCI north to Atchison KS, the childhood home of Amelia Earhart. Your first stop will be the Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum, featuring the world’s last remaining Lockheed L-10E Electra. After an hour there, you will travel to the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum, the home Amelia Earhart grew up in! In between, you will have a short stop at the historic 1880 Santa Fe Depot, at the Atchison County Historical Society Museum the eastern end of the ATSF Railway. Your tour fee includes bus transport and admission to both museums.

Jet Midwest
You will cross I-29 via bus from the Hilton MCI to the facilities of Jet Midwest, located in the historic TWA MCI maintenance base. You will travel around the aircraft stored at Jet Midwest, visit a few of the aircraft, and if available, witness the breaking up of an aircraft. Children 16 and under require parental or guardian escort. As you are entering a controlled area of the airport, please observe all TSA rules, no luggage, cameras only, no weapons.

TriStar Experience:
You will cross I-29 via bus from the Hilton MCI to the MCI ramp and The Tristar Experience L-1011. Built in 1974 for PSA Airlines, N910TE served for three airlines before becoming an Operation Blessing Flying Hospital. Flown to MCI in 2017, this L-1011 is one of two complete and operational L-1011’s left in the world! This aircraft is also one of three built with lower level air stairs! Weather permitting, you might even experience a start-up of one of the RB-211’s. Tour duration will be around one hour. Your tour payment is for bus transportation and includes a donation to the TriStar Experience! Children 16 and under require parental or guardian escort. As you are entering a controlled area of the airport, please observe all TSA rules, no luggage, cameras only, no weapons.

NOAA NWS Aviation Weather Center:
Your small group will travel from the Hilton to the NWS Aviation Weather Center, for a 1 hour guided tour of the AWC, the national NOAA facility focusing specifically on predicting and reporting aviation weather. Your tour fee is only for bus transportation and administrative costs, NOAA is providing the tour free of charge.

Friday Night at the Props RETURNS!
The Friday night BBQ returns! Bus transportation is provided from the Hilton MCI to The TWA Museum at 10 Richards Road, Downtown Airport MKC. You will enjoy a catered Kansas City BBQ in the original TWA maintenance hangar, and a visit to the TWA Museum. A cash water/soda/beer bar will be available. Weather permitting, Kansas City Helicopter Tours at MKC will be booking scenic flights during the BBQ! (You will make arrangements and payment directly with KCHT). The first bus will leave the Hilton at 17:30, BBQ at 18:30. Your tour fee includes R/T bus, BBQ buffet and TWA Museum admission. You can also drive yourself if you wish to visit other parts of downtown KC after the BBQ, please let us know if you are using your own transportation via registration@airlinersinternational.org once you have booked the BBQ. Children under 16 require parental or guardian escort.
